Herdsires / Foundation Females
Herdsires:
Peruvian
Commonwealth - Masterpiece
Alpacas has added another phenomenal male to our herdsire
row. Peruvian Commonwealth is the son of Jolimont 2 Peruvian
Alpamayo, whose progeny have won more show awards than any
other Canadian white huacaya alpaca. Alpamayo is able to
transmit his phenomenal fleece characteristics of density,
fineness, crimp, bundling and lock structure to his
offspring. Commonwealth has all of these characteristics in
his fiber. This matchstick bundling is found throughout his
entire body. He has a beautiful macho head with a dense
topknot. He is very appealing to the eye, with sound
conformation and coverage from topknot to toenails. He has a
very soft handle to his fiber.. at over three years of age
he has a CV of 18.0 and a SD 4.5 in 2005. The judges have
commented
on his solid frame and soft fiber. His first crias are
showing exceptional density and tight bundling in their cria
fleeces.
At The 2004 Int'l Farmfair in Canada the judge, Amanda
VandenBosch, commented on Commonwealth's strong frame, very
correct conformation and very soft hand to his fleece. His
introductory stud fee is $2000 for the first three females.
We will be raising it to $2500 thereafter.
EL
ACCOYO RUBIO - Rubio is the most gorgeous animal we
possess. He's full Accoyo, beige, has the perfect alpaca
head and great coverage, and he throws color. His first
offspring was a bay black male out of a true black dam, and
the boy has the same beautiful head as his daddy. Julio
Sumar awarded Rubio the Best Head out of twenty other males
at the International Alpaca Odyssey, 2003. He's very fine
fibered as well, and his histogram is excellent, especially
for a full Accoyo male. Diana Timmerman awarded him first
place and Reserve Light Male Color Champion, commenting that
it is rare to see an alpaca with Rubio's fineness and
consistent crimp at almost four years of age. Rubio's first
two cria both won ribbons in big shows this spring. A male
won one at AOBA in the white juvenile male class. If you're
looking for "the look", Accoyo genes, and colorful offspring
with lasting fiber character, it would be hard to find a
better guy than El Accoyo Rubio. Micron Count
2002: 18.4/3.9/21.4/0.7;
2005: 19.8/4.6/23.2/2.8
Rubio will stand stud at Masterpiece Alpacas end-October
thru Mid-March each year. Rubio is co-owned with
Hummingherd Alpacas, ID and NorthCoast Alpacas, OH.

XANADU
'ROUND MIDNIGHT - This is one amazing male!! Everyone
who puts their hand on him have a hard time letting go.
'Round Midnight is a multiple Color Champion and a Xanadu
Peruvian Presidio son who already has his first crias on the
ground. Most of the crias are dark like Midnight as well as
correct conformation and fiber is very crimpy. His son,
After Hours, has taken the showring by storm, winning almost
every show he's been entered in.
His first cria of 2005 is a silver gray female! His show
record proves he's one of the most impressive colored males
in the country. Now he's proving it with his crias. Great
size, fluid motion, heavy bone and a great head to
compliment his deeply crimped and uniform fleece, high
brightness, density and defined locks. We're delighted to
offer his services and use him too.
